Whether you test positive for COVID or not, please stay home If you are showing any symptoms of illness. If you are isolating because you are a close contact of someone who tested positive, please also do not attend our events in person.

Masking Recommended

If you are joining us in person, we recommend masking indoors and during the zikr, given the proximity to others, and breath work during our zikr remembrance practice.

Join Sheikh Murat Coskun & the dervishes of the Rifai Sufi Order to commemorate Shab e Arous – the wedding night of Mevlana Rumi – the day his soul returned to his Beloved. This is a day of celebration with sacred music and remembrance, not mourning.

The night will include sacred music, poetry recitation in Farsi & English, sama (whirling), zikr, sohbet (spiritual talk) and community meal.

Location: Downtown Toronto

RSVP is mandatory using the sign-up sheet we send out via email

If you have not received the sign-up sheet of if it is your first time attending, please e-mail us at info@cisssufi.org

Cost: Free to all. Donations are welcome to offset the cost of renting the space.

Tea and coffee is served and there is a light potluck at the end of the night.

Chairs are available, however if you prefer to sit on the floor, please bring your own cushion.
